Empathy That Transforms Relationships
A 9-week deepening course for NVC practitioners ready to master empathy as an art.
You’ve completed NVC foundations, but you keep hitting the same walls.
You know how to reflect feelings and needs, but it often sounds clunky or feels inadequate.
Maybe this resonates:

When you have judgments, empathy feels impossible
You struggle with behavior of your partner/child/mother. You know empathy would help, but part of you just wants to tell them they’re wrong. You fall into “jackal responses” and can’t find your way back to connection.

You're stuck in basic reflections that don't go anywhere
“Are you feeling frustrated because you need respect?” gets a “yes”… then what? Your empathy sounds mechanical and “NVC-weird” instead of natural and connecting. People don’t feel truly heard even when you’re technically doing it “right”
When you're personally affected, empathy disappears
Conflicts with your landlord show you how far you still have to go. Family dynamics trigger old patterns and you lose access to your skills. You struggle to “catch yourself” in social situations when emotions are high.
The deeper frustration
You’ve experienced the profound relief of being truly heard. You know empathy can “cut through noise and stories and meet someone where they are.” But when you try to offer that same gift to others – especially in charged moments – you feel clunky, ineffective, or completely reactive. We need to practice empathy as an art, not just a technique.
Hi, I’m Danny, and I’m in love with empathy.
I believe empathy is one of the missing ingredients that can make life wonderful. It opens doors to profound connection with strangers, enables rich intimacy in close relationships, and transforms conflict into opportunities for deeper understanding.
But I know how frustrating it can be when basic NVC feels limited. Simple reflections can sound clunky or be off-putting. Even when someone says “yes” to your empathy guess, you might wonder “now what?”
For over 15 years, I’ve been exploring empathy as an art – not just reflecting feelings and needs, but meeting people in ways that help us “fall in love” with their humanity, give them a profound sense of being seen, and open pathways to creative collaboration.
I’ve guided hundreds of people beyond basic NVC into an empathy that feels natural, connects deeply, and works even in the most challenging situations.

We also offer integration pracitces which can be practiced solo (~20 min) and invite active participation on our whatsapp group for further group connection.
What if I can't make every live session?
Consistent presence at live sessions is really valuable for bringing the learning alive and contributing to the learning field. Sessions run on Tuesdays, March 24 – June 2, 2026 9am–12pm PT / 12–3pm ET / 7–10pm IT (Note: No class on April 7th)
Please plan around these times for the best experience.
Please reach out to Mike (mike@artofcommunication.life) if you have any questions relating to attendance.
How is this different from NVC foundations?
This goes far beyond basic reflections into advanced applications – meeting anger, healing ruptures, natural “street empathy,” and empathy as spiritual practice. You’ll refine technique into artistry.
